Student Advocacy Program Branding
Graphic Design
Client: University of Oregon Student Advocacy Program
Creative Brief: Create a brand and marketing materials for the Student Advocacy Program, with an approachable, youthful style that is flexible enough to take on a serious tone, and compatible for using outside of Adobe programs.
Interchangeable elements:

The branding of this program uses a series of geometric elements, which are seen in these interchangeable characters to give off a more approachable, personable style. These characters can be customized with different hair, facial expressions and features and colors. The pallet uses a multitude of colors which helps to create vibrancy and variety, but includes sophisticated shades to balance the youthful apperance of the characters. The use of these elements can help to support social posts and marketing materials that are lighter in subject and meant to comfortably reel in an audience.
Personable social media posts:

To reflect a more serious tone, this flexible branding uses the concept of geometric shapes as background element to support headlines, text, and more important information. Lines are incorporated in this version of marketing materials as accent marks and doodles, rather than elements of geometric characters.
Final Moodboard, Post-Client Feedback: They requested the simplified characters, also represented through simple geometric shapes. They wanted to include doodle elements, the color palette from #2, and the font from #4.

Original mood boards I presented to the client:

Mood board #1: Simple characters integrated with text, doodles and annotations. Round and handwritten fonts. Distinct dark color palette.

Mood board #2: Geometric shapes, patterns, condensed font, gradual and limited color palette.

Mood board #3: Hand visuals with arm line shapes, round and bold condensed font, and vibrant color palette.

Mood board #4: 3 dimensional dynamic headline design with top heavy font, eluding to motion, subdued color palette.
